Sr. Engineering Manager: Build Something Meaningful

Role Summary:

CrowdStreet is in growth mode and looking for an experienced Sr. Engineering Manager, with a passion for building modern, scalable web applications. You are the type of manager with the ability to roll up your sleeves and join the team in hands-on product development, while promoting career growth.

You will report to the Director of Engineering and will build, manage, and coach a growing team of software engineers and ensure timely delivery of high quality, scalable, and secure software applications. Your creative spirit, combined with your experience working in growing and maturing organizations will inspire your teams to achieve great things as they excel in their careers, and we scale as a business.

The Success You'll Build: Primary Responsibilities and Impact

  • Lead and grow a team of up to 8-10 software engineers
  • Provide career development, goal setting, and coaching to folks in your charge
  • Continuously improve our software development processes and train team members on new projects
  • Set expectations for, and work with team to ensure, high quality and delivery
  • Champion Agile development methodologies and quick iterative development
  • Collaborate with product managers and software engineers in planning sessions to interpret the product roadmap and product specifications in building new features
  • Assess complexity in building features and provide accurate estimates and risk analysis
  • Communicate delivery schedules and provide updates to senior management and important partners
  • Participate in code and design reviews to help ensure stability and quality
  • Delight customers by delivering quality product solutions and features that accomplish measurable outcomes
  • Support Diversity, Equity and Inclusion projects through inclusive team processes, promoting psychological safety, and leading by example

The experience that will help you succeed:

  • 4+ years of experience in Engineering Management
  • Demonstrated experience hiring, developing, and motivating software engineers
  • A great track record in building and delivering modern B2B and B2C applications in a SaaS company
  • Experience designing and building full stack web applications and services and deploying them to production environments
  • Solid experience leading projects using Agile methodologies
  • Ability to work successfully remotely
