ABOUT THE TEAM

Sr. Manager, End User Engineering leads the management of and implementation of technologies supporting the overall strategic roadmap of the company. As part of our End-User Engineering team, this individual will manage a team responsible for support, implementation and administration of the end-user hardware and software systems as well as the collaboration platforms including but not limited to O365, SharePoint, Skype/Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc., Windows 10, MacOS, VDI's, enterprise print, MAM, MDM, desktop recovery, and shared drives.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of all end-user systems for the enterprise, including ownership of the OS (Windows & MAC/iOS), patch management and software packaging, Q/A activities, vulnerability remediation and associated metrics & reporting
  • Provide both technical and managerial leadership for the end user engineering team
  • Drive stability & productivity into our employee IT equipment
  • Utilize technical solutions to reduce the friction of collaboration amongst teams
  • Participate and share in cross-departmental leadership responsibilities including strategy, tactics, goal setting, staff selection & workforce management, budgeting and operational excellence
  • Support effective stewardship of the company's resources by following financial controls processes, producing accurate forecasts, managing budgets and monitoring the overall productivity of the functions managed
  • Ability to effectively execute concurrent activities and maintain focus on key details during times of crisis and heightened pressure
  • Relevant certification(s) preferred - Microsoft, VMware, AWS, CompTIA, etc.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • BS in Computer Information Systems or equivalent work experience
  • Technical knowledge of: operating systems, desktop and application virtualization, application packaging/distribution, office productivity tools (Outlook, Skype/Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.) , print, shared drives, mobile application and device management, end user devices/personas and supporting technologies such as Active Directory and System Center Configuration Manager, Apple Mac/iOS
  • Understanding of Microsoft licensing models
  • Experience with Office 365 administration and application delivery
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SCCM Intune and desktop management, and Microsoft Teams administration and collaboration
  • Knowledge in core infrastructure components such as DNS, DHCP, Active Directory (AD), AD Group Policies, LDAP, LDAP Integration
  • Experience with "zero touch" OS deployment
  • Experience with Exchange online, configuration and account management
  • High level of experience with Virtual Apps and Desktops
  • Microsoft Application Virtualization
  • Previously implemented OneDrive and OneDrive for Business at a corporate level
  • Broad exposure to classical and cloud native architectures and technologies, and the ability to articulate benefits and differences
  • Excellent communication skills, presentation abilities, problem-solving skills and customer relationship management.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of methodologies and trends in both business and technology
  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills, poise and ability to act calmly and competently in high-pressure, high-stress situations
  • Strong analytical skills required; along with attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines. #LI-CP1

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Experience with Remote Apps and Desktop Services, Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD), Virtual Applications, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) using Hyper-V and Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager
  • Experience with Active Directory Group Policies
  • Expert-level knowledge of Windows 10 Operating System
  • Application packaging and delivery using Automation tools such as SCCM and Intune
  • PowerShell Scripting Experience
  • Author technical documentation and contribute to centralized knowledge and training for the team #LI-JL1
