Role Summary

Mavenir Systems Inc. in Richardson, TX is seeking a Sr Lead Technical Architect. Expected to drive network design with business development team, system engineering and solution architecture teams during the design phase. Lead Customer Contact for 5G Core and 4G Deployment using cloud native design. Compose technical documents as Acceptance Test Plan, High Level Design and Low-Level Design Document based on the feature requirements provided by the customer and Solution description documents. Install, configure and administer 5G Core and 4G systems in both lab and production environments. Provide subject matter expertise & trainings on 5G Core and 4G Evolved packet core to customer/deployment teams as needed.

Position requires a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field (foreign equivalent acceptable) and 5 years of progressively responsible experience or a Master's in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field (foreign equivalent acceptable) and 2 years of experience. The experience that is required must have involved working with the following: Linux, IP networking, Cloud Native Platform technology (Kubernetes, Docker, Containerization); NFV virtualization using OpenStack platforms such as Redhat OpenStack, KVM, ESXi , vSphere, VMWare; Couchbase, MySQL databases along with SQL commands; 3GPP standards of packet core architecture, call flows, protocols, 4G Interfaces: S1-MME, S5/S8, S11, S10 and 5G interfaces: NG-AP, N3, N6, N4-U and SBI based HTTP2; Perform end-to-end call flow testing for Voice over LTE, Voice over NR; Test interoperability and features of System Architecture Evolution Gateway (SAE-GW) with MME, PCRF, HSS; Test interoperability and features of 5GC NFs namely AMF, SMF, UPF, NSSF, NRF, PCF, UDM, UDR, UDSF.
