Key Responsibilities
- Develop L1/L2 algorithms for LTE & NR base stations systems
- Verify the new algorithms using link-level simulations and/or system-level simulations
- Prepare contributions for 3GPP / O-RAN standards meetings and attend the meetings
- Develop IPRs
- Write feature requirement specifications
- Support testing the L1/L2 implementations in integration test setups
- Root cause analysis for lab testing and field issues
Job Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of 3GPP Rel-15/Rel-16 specs, especially L1/L2 aspects.
- In-depth knowledge of channel coding (turbo, LDPC, polar) a bonus.
- Knowledge of upper layers and end-to-end RAN architecture a bonus.
- Experience with the standardization process as a delegate a bonus.
- In-depth knowledge of massive-MIMO system operation, especially beamforming aspects.
- Extensive experience with link-level simulations and simulator development.
- Experience with hands-on simulator development strongly preferred.
- Experience with calibration campaigns in standards bodies, e.g. 3GPP, a bonus.
- Extensive experience with the development and performance characterization of L1 algorithms such as channel estimation, MIMO detection, etc.
- Experience with development/implementation of channel decoders (turbo, LDPC, polar) a bonus.
- Experience with link budget-based coverage and performance analysis.
- Experience with system-level simulator development, and performance characterization of L2 algorithms such as link adaptation, power control, scheduling, etc. is a bonus.
- Masters degree in EE/CS; doctoral degree preferred.
