About the Role
Partners with stakeholders and leads team efforts to design, develop, and maintain complex user interfaces and features for mobile applications (iOS).
Earner team builds the core platform that allows millions of earners around the world to make their living on Uber, and in turn powers all of Uber's consumer services.
Our mission is to make driving for Uber the world's best flexible job. This involves all aspects of an earner's lifecycle as they open the app, go online, take trips, earn money, take advantage of perks, and progress to be all-star earners on the platform.

Our charter includes the Loyalty & Rewards program that enables Earners to earn points and to have access to rewards & benefits based on their tiers. This program has dual goals to make earners feel appreciated by Uber and emotionally connected to the Uber community, as well as improve earner quality metrics, engagement and retention. Tipping & Feedback to recognize and improve earner efforts on providing quality of service and this has put more than a billion dollars in our Earners' pockets last year alone. Lastly, our newest addition is a Subscription product that allows earners to gain more control over their earnings and help us in increasing long-term retention. ---- What the Candidate Will Do ----
• Define & build the frameworks that power the core Earner(Driver, Courier) App experience• Fully own features from ideation with design and product, to working with data science to design experiments that continuously improve our products• Implement user-facing and platform features with the latest iOS technologies• Champion best software engineering practices such as continuous integration, delivery, and deployment• Mentor other engineers and continue building a strong culture of quality
---- Basic Qualifications ----
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience• Candidates are expected to be highly proficient in iOS development, application design philosophies (MVC, MVVM, etc.), source code management (git), clean API design.• 2+ years of relevant work or educational experience in client-side software development using Swift/Objective C

• Strong expertise in Swift, Objective-C and iOS SDK• Experience with writing, releasing, maintaining mobile code• Experience analyzing a feature in production using analytics and experiments• Strong focus on high-quality mobile UI experiences• Experience efficiently collaborating on projects• Familiarity with principles of good user experience• Knowledge of the principles of accessibility and ability to craft products that are accessible to users with disabilities

For Colorado-based roles: The salary/hourly rate range for this role is $122,400 per year - $136,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award, commissions, & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
