Responsibilities

Do you have a passion for helping lead technology modernization efforts, while still staying hands on with the execution of infrastructure development?

As a Sr Infrastructure Engineer I in our Service Management Solutions area, you'll be strongly supporting Integrations, Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and API capability in support of ServiceNow. This is a senior role so we need someone who can come in and hit the ground running with experience in CMDB and ITSM (IT Service management). This is a key role in helping modernize our organization to cloud based technologies and will have technical product owner responsibilities. ServiceNow is a cornerstone platform to help drive the digital transformation of our company and this role is key to helping make this journey successful.

Here are a few examples of the kinds of things you'll do:
  • Consistently delivers software on-time and is constantly working to make accurate estimates and deliver those estimates.
  • Provide technical advice and weigh in on technical decisions that impact other teams or the company.
  • Set direction at the project/service level and consistently influence decision-making. Ability to own and design all components of a complete solution.
  • Identify and propose strategies around technical problems affecting the team, communicate standards and get buy-in on solutions.
  • Owns the technical testing and performance plan for work efforts.
  • Educate and model to the team how to apply strong security practices (secure coding, AVA's, static code analysis, data protection/encryption, etc.)
  • Understand the trade-offs between technical, analytical and product needs and lead to solutions that take all the needs into account.
  • Set direction for the team in proactively establishing controls and ensure system is secure and meets policy and regulatory requirements during development.
  • Coordinates with others to work through remediation plans because of risk assessments.
  • Ability to demonstrate design thinking and create solution architectures; can span multiple systems.
  • Research new IT developments. Stay current and engaged on industry trends. Nurture external contacts and peer group interaction.
  • Consult with business partners on future technical trends/directions to meet business strategy initiatives.
  • May have direct reports in the future; would be responsible for staff recruitment, performance assessment, training, career development, and setting clear goal expectations.


Qualifications

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree (preference in a computer science, technology, engineering, or math-related field) or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of related work experience
    • 4+ years of ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and IT Service Management (ITSM) experience
    • 3+ years of significant cloud & on-premises platform experience
  • Strong planning, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making and communication skills
  • Excellent communication & collaboration skills with cross functional teams to solve problems and drive to successful outcomes
  • Proficiency with database applications, knowledge of mainframe, distributed and/or web programming language
  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Must have the desire and ability to learn new technology and continuously grow
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams and collaborate with both IT and non-IT partners
  • May be required to provide on-call support
  • Some travel may be required

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range

$87600 - $172800 / year

This position may require on-call responsibilities.

Work Environments

This role offers the ability for in-office, hybrid (blending both office and remote work in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements. You'll work with your leader to determine which option may align best based on several factors.
