Job Description

The Sr Hardware Engineer is responsible for development of new products for residential comfort applications (thermostats, zone panels and sensors). This position requires extensive electronics hardware experience in designing high-volume, high reliability connected consumer products.

JOB DUTIES:

• Derive product specifications from customer and marketing requirements
• Design, prototype, and test concepts
• Utilize simulation, analysis, and rapid prototyping to reduce product development cycle time
• Reuse and support system platforms and modular design blocks
• Prepare engineering documentation (specifications, schematics, drawings, ECOs, BOMs)
• Work with and gain acceptance from product approval agencies (UL, FCC, etc.)
• Increase innovation in products through technology that improves the user experience and product capability
• Engage with cross-functional team over project lifecycle to ensure system alignment

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering
• 5+ years of relevant experience in embedded product development
• Hardware design experience including RF, sensors, actuators, microcontrollers, displays and low power
• Experience with ECAD design and simulation tools
