Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer (Supply Chain Systems) to join our Supply Chain team based in Dania Beach, FL. In this role the Python Developer will work with business users of Supply Chain to build prototype applications and/or proof of concept applications to support the goals of Chewy’s Supply Chain. The role will also assist business users of Supply Chain with automating manual tasks. The ideal candidate should have experience developing Python prototypes, proof of concepts, and scalable systems that support Supply Chain initiatives. The candidate must be able to write effective, testable, scalable, and clean Python code with a strong emphasis on readability and documentation. The candidate must have experience with continuous deployment and integration principles, and experience automating aspects of the software development cycle.

What You'll Do:

Design, develop, implement, test, and document Supply Chain prototype applications
Design, develop, implement, and test internal web applications supporting Support Chain business needs
Develop REST and SOAP API calls to Oracle ERP system
Maintain and debug existing code bases
Design and implement database structures
Build custom applications to support Supply Chain automation
Act as a subject matter expert on Supply Chain data sources
Automate continuous integration and deployment tasks and other aspects of SDLC
Maintain a Windows Server executing Python and SQL scripts and applications
Position may require travel

What You'll Need:

Bachelor’s Degree (MIS or CS preferred) or equivalent work experience
5+ years of software development experience
5+ years experience with Python
5+ years of experience writing SQL queries
Experience with Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
3+ years of experience with SQL Server or the equivalent like MySQL or Oracle
3+ years of experience in Python web app technologies like Flask or Django along with a strong understanding of HTML/JavaScript/CSS
Experience with Git
Experience with Jira and Confluence or something similar
Experience making REST and/or SOAP API web service calls with Python package requests or something similar
Ability to design systems
Position may require travel

AWS Lambda experience
Docker and Jenkins experience
Oracle ERP experience
