Bigbear.ai is seeking a Sr. Full Stack Engineer to join our product team. This position will deal with the entire software development life cycle - design, implementation, service operations, and customer support. We are looking for a self-starter that has solid software engineering experience and enjoys solving challenging problems.

This position can be located in San Diego, CA; Chantilly, VA; or possibly remote.

What you will do

• Thrive in a product driven design workplace and has a strong desire to build something form the ground up.
• Flourish as part of a growing team and be able to communicate effectively to other engineers, QA, and product management.
• Collaborate with other BB.ai departments to design and launch new features.
• Translate business and functional requirements into technical specifications and delivery plans.

What you need to have

• 8+ years of experience in software development with a passion for cloud technology.
• Proficiency with at least one modern general-purpose programming languages (JavaScript, Java, C++, Go, Python, etc.)
• Experience building low friction APIs, highly responsive RESTful web UIs, and the backend to support them.
• Basic fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis.
• Experience with data modeling and business logic.
• Solid experience in Linux environment.
• Ability to work with a variety of teams and be passionate about building cutting-edge solutions to solve problems with the right technologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field or equivalent practical experience.

• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, testing, deployment, and operations.
