In Kansas City, Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration's (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus. ***This position will be in Kansas City, MO***

Summary of Duties:

• A qualified technician is sought to support scope in Telemetry Engineering performing the following:
• Provide product and process development support for complex assemblies to refine designs and qualify products to stringent customer requirements
• Help resolve challenging issues using schematics, product drawings, and test data to pinpoint problems
• Assist engineers and other technicians with a variety of day-to-day recurring tasks
• Able to work independently with little or no supervision on all job responsibilities
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and responsibilities concurrently
• Maintain tools and gages used in development and testing labs where work is performed
• Organize, manage, and maintain laboratory work areas to meet acceptable 5S standards

You Must Have:

• US Citizenship in order to obtain US Dept of Energy ""Q"" level security clearance
• Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline or 4 years technical work experience in lieu of degree
• 4 years of experience in a quality or manufacturing environment for technical work experience

We Value:

• Five or more years' industry experience in electronic product design, development, manufacturing, testing, and trouble shooting
• Five or more years' experience in technical assignments, including application of technology principles to complex assignments, with two years of independent critical work with direct customer interface and significant team leadership
• Current DOE ""Q"" or DOD TS clearance
• BSEET, BSMET or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proven excellent bench skills including hand soldering, lead forming and related skills
• Proficient using engineering test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, function generators, etc.
• Recognized expert in a specialized technical field
