The Cardinal Health DevSecOps Team currently has an opening for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to enable and implement DevSecOps in our SAP environment. The DSO team is highly engaged in best practice automation of software development, testing, and security of quality applications and their deployment into production.

The Senior DevSecOps Engineer will drive value to Cardinal Health through their deep hands-on experience with SAP, integrated with CI/CD software development through DevSecOps governance and practice. This role will face a variety of stakeholders and will act as a guide, coach, mentor, and trainer to the SAP tech leads, partnering with them to develop accelerators to update strategies and roadmaps for our DevSecOps integration with our SAP platform. The goal is to help the SAP product teams accelerate the time-to-value for business enablement to allow Cardinal Health to continue to grow by removing IT as a barrier through adoption of DevSecOps automation and cloud native implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Guide, Coach, Mentor SAP Solution Delivery Teams on DevSecOps practices
  • Create and enable CI/CD automation within SAP landscape
  • Proactively assess value and automation of deployment of code to the SAP landscape
  • Active Member of Engineering Community of Practice
  • Create and maintain technology accelerators, standards, and decision trees
  • Create and maintain reference engineering implementations
  • Create and maintain training and educational materials for Solution Delivery Teams
  • Create and maintain technical guides and "How Tos"
  • Understands security and compliance aspects of DevSecOps and SAP
  • Understand monitoring and metrics gathering of tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
  • Able to decompose monoliths using lean and agile practices, 12-factor techniques, cloud native, and cloud architecture



Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Innovative and strategic thinker with strong leadership skills
  • Proficient knowledge of SAP development lifecycle and deployment process (ChaRM, Netweaver java stack)
  • Knowledge of SAP transport and change management tools such as Basis Technologies Active Control
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to perform duties under minimal supervision while exercising discretion and independent judgement
  • Proven experience with sophisticated, large-scale implementations
  • Hands on technologist, must be able to code (Shell, Powershell, Python, Perl, etc)
  • Hands on experience with CI/CD automation and deployment
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years' experience in related field preferred
  • A Covid-19 vaccination is required in order to be employed in this position. This includes either:
  • 2 doses of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine
  • 1 dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine
