The Sr. End User Technology Engineer (VDI) role requires strong collaboration with team members as well as Application Development Teams, Business Partners, and key stakeholders to design and build robust, scalable, operational solutions to meet business needs. This person will be responsible for guiding the technical direction and drive technical decisions for all end user computing solutions. The Senior End User Computing Engineer position demands a well-organized, action-oriented team player with exceptional time management skills to drive multiple initiatives simultaneously and in a very fast paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence cross functional teams, business partners and vendors are required.

Reports To: Sr. Manager, IT Operations - Applications
Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical expertise to team members and help to develop solutions across the Team's responsibilities, specifically Citrix application delivery and VDI
  • Responsible for the quality of deliverables in terms of the technical design, implementation, testing and adherence to technical compliance standards
  • Works on large, complex projects within DBI IT (includes domestic and international entities)
  • Provides hands on technical expertise, provides senior level technical guidance to staff, project leaders and other teams as necessary
  • Partners with (remote)team members providing business acumen when preparing business cases
  • Provides Tier III expert level support of End User Platforms.



Required Skills:

  • Excellent personal communication, group interaction and organizational skills
  • 5-7 years combination of Windows administration & End User Desktop engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server, Systems Center Current Branch (Patching), Citrix, Windows 10 patching (including third party patching)
  • Hands-on experience with Citrix administration both in a high availability (HA), application delivery and VDI environment with Netscaler appliances in a multi-datacenter environment.
  • Strong tactical and strategic experience in VDI and/or Private Cloud technologies (Citrix, VMWare, ETC)
  • Strong scripting experience, leveraging PowerShell where possible
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and diagnostic skills
  • Understanding of endpoint technologies, including Windows based PCs, Mac platforms, and Thin/Zero clients
  • Comprehension of PII, PCI and SOX requirements.
  • Good understanding of ITIL/Service Management processes.



Desired Skills:

  • Proven hands-on experience in Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, Systems Center Configuration Manager/Microsoft Endpoint Manager configuration and administration.
  • Strong experience in hypervisor technologies as they relate to VDI and application delivery.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Windows 10/11 performance, troubleshooting, and networking technologies (Firewall, NAC, and Wireless Authentication).
  • Experience with the Microsoft System Center suite of products including Configuration Manager; Operations Manager; and Orchestrator.
  • Broad knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Strong team skills, communication, and drive to ensure constant improvement in service, capabilities and results.

  • Advanced Group Policy Management (AGPM)
  • Azure services
  • Office 365
  • Microsoft BitLocker Administration and Monitoring (MBAM) and LAPS
  • Distributed File System (DFS)



Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience.



Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).
