POSITION TITLE : Sr. DevOps Engineer [211117JL]
POSITION DUTIES : Perform DevOps engineering to accelerate and automate the development, testing and release of software applications to facilitate the continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) of software and software updates. Maintain and update core telemetry streaming services and middleware such as Kafka and Flink. Design, build and deliver cloud computing solutions, hosted services, and underlying software infrastructure. Design and build tools and frameworks, including Jenkins and Harness CI/CD tools, to support CI and CD solutions. Assist in coaching application developers on proper techniques for building scalable applications in the micro-services paradigm. Support and troubleshoot product and infrastructure issues in production environments. Evaluate new tools, technologies and processes to improve speed, efficiency and scalability of proprietary Telemetry platform
REQUIREMENTS : BSCS, or related (Comp.Eng, MIS), or equiv., plus 5 yrs. DevOps experience. 5 yrs. must include 1) 5 yrs. with Linux-based operating system (OS); 2) 2 yrs. in Docker and Kubernetes; 3) 3 yrs. with CI/CD tools / infrastructure (Jenkins, Harness); 4) 2 yrs. exp. with demonstrated knowledge of middleware streaming technologies (Kafka, Flink, Splunk); 5) 5 yrs. exp. with demonstrated abilities or certification in Cloud hosting service providers (AWS, GCP or similar).
