Job summary

The Sr Infrastructure Engineer will be a member of the Platform Services Windows Team with a focus on Citrix engineering. You will design and build durable Citrix Xenapp farms to support the current and future workloads. You will be responsible for Citrix Xenapp farms with a focus on durability of the system and ease of use. You will design solutions, perform upgrades and plan implementation.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the architecture, implementation and production support of a Citrix XenApp environment
  • Provide daily support for Citrix XenApp environment with users in various geographical locations.
  • Implement robust monitoring of the XenApp environment using tools such as Citrix Director, Citrix Command Center and various other system monitoring tools.
  • Proactively monitor Citrix & virtual environment for capacity, stress, risk and workload and take necessary remediation steps.
  • Take full ownership to work with various teams to resolve any production related incidents.
  • Maintain obsolescence for the platform and perform upgrades of the XenApp environment
  • Implement and maintain monitoring of the production.
  • Perform capacity planning and management.
  • Participate in vulnerability management efforts.
  • Manage daily incident tickets and change tickets for the team.
  • Participate in on call rotation of the Windows team.


Qualifications

  • 7+ years relevant experience
  • Design, implementation, troubleshooting of XenApp
  • Citrix upgrade and farm migration from planning through implementation
  • Strong knowledge of Citrix XenApp 7.x architecture and components
  • Good understanding of App Layering
  • Citrix Patch Management and policies configuration
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Strong knowledge of two factor technologies and its integration with CITRIX clients.
  • Good working knowledge of implementation of SSL Certificates
  • Good understanding of Firewall rule implementation & troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS (2016/2019) and Windows 2016/2019 Enterprise components and technologies such as Domains, DNS, Registries, DHCP/WINS.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory
  • Good knowledge of VMWare vSphere and associated products (vCenter, SRM)
  • Knowledge of Citrix Netscaler 10.X and above technology is a plus
  • Good knowledge of Wyse thin clients is a plus
  • Understanding the difference between Access Gateway, NetScaler, Secure Gateway
  • Experiences on Web interface, Store Front, Studio and Delivery console
  • Will be required to work on an on-call rotation 24*7
