JOB SUMMARY:

The Citrix Engineer role is responsible for the overall support, development, enhancement, and maintenance of client enterprise Citrix environments. This includes analysis, planning, development and implementation of new features and enhancements to provide required levels of service to the organization. This is a fast-paced position which requires a technology driven, highly motivated applicant who can manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

DAILY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the design, implementation, and support of solutions related to Citrix projects and initiatives
• Responsible for managing the day-to-day administration, planning, and problem-solving for the Citrix XenApp environment.
• Implement application and virtual desktop solutions using the Citrix platform.
• Experience implementing Citrix solutions that address complex issues across multiple verticals such as: Healthcare, Insurance, Government, Finance, Engineering, etc.
• Responsible for performance tuning and providing a high availability XenApp environment to eliminate single points of failure.
• Implement Provisioning Services across multiple Data Centers.
• Strong experience implementing and supporting various Citrix architectures and platforms.
• Maintain Operational Excellence by helping to define and execute daily activities following Citrix best practices.
• Effectively manage work via ITIL based ticketing; Incident, Service Request, Change Control, and Projects as part of daily activates.
• Troubleshoot and assess performance issues using common Citrix utilities and/or 3rd party tools when appropriate.
• Ability to work closely with Project Managers and technical resources across multiple teams to drive project deliverables to completion.
• Create and maintain support documentation that will be used by both engineers and the service desk while troubleshooting issues.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise Citrix environments.
• 5+ years of experience supporting complex Windows server environments.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and interoperability with various network devices such as switches, routers, and firewalls
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with the following Citrix technologies
  • XenApp
  • AppSense
  • XenDesktop
  • ShareFile
  • Provisioning Services
  • StoreFront
  • Web Interface
  • Citrix Licensing
  • NetScaler
• Experience working with enterprise class Hypervisors such as VMware.
• Experience integrating Citrix imaging solutions such as Machine Creation Services and Provisioning Services with VMware.
• Strong experience working with Active Directory Group Policies.
• Ability to communicate with other employees in the company in both technical and non-technical roles
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain attendance to support required quality and quantity of work.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, leadership, and clients.

• Citrix Certified Professional or Expert - Virtualization
• Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Service on Citrix Cloud Certified
• Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Service Integration with Microsoft Azure Certified

• Citrix SD-WAN Certified
