Sr. Characterization Engineer
SUMMARY:
Sr. Characterization Test Engineer: Be part of a team supporting product development of 5G mmWave products targeting high-end mobile handsets. This effort includes developing automated measurements, collecting and analyzing performance data, and supplying conformance reports.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement automated test solutions to support the characterization of mmWave products including Power Amplifiers, Low Noise Amplifiers, RF Switches, and Integrated Modules
- Generate test plans based on review of device test requirements and 5G NR communication standards
- Collect performance test data (ACLR, EVM, SEM, IMD, S-Parameters, etc.)
- Analyze data and prepare results for product team review using data visualization tools
- Work with design and application engineers to identify and resolve issues affecting product compliance
- Generate formal compliance reports for customer evaluation
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BSEE or MSEE
- 3+ years' experience in RF semiconductor product development
- Familiarity with RF test equipment (VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, Power Meter) and components (Cables, Couplers, Filters, Switches, etc.)
- Solid understanding of analog, digital, and RF theory
- Thorough understanding of common RF measurements (Gain, IMD, Return Loss, Noise Figure, EVM, etc.)
- Experience in software test development using object-oriented programming languages; C#.NET preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical information
- Strong desire to collaborate with a team and drive continuous improvement
