About the Job:
As a member of the Technology team, you will help define, establish, and evolve our full-stack development capacities. You will be tasked in creating innovative solutions that advance our clients businesses. You’ll join a strong and inspiring team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high-quality software and new products. You’ll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what’s being developed.
What You’ll Get to Do:
- Provide Trading and Risk Management Systems Production Support & Testing services
- Provide Level 1 to 3 support, availability for night and weekend shift work as well as light travel to offices
- Hands on development of test cases and test scripts, including diagnosis, specification review, testing, updating documentation and extensive knowledge of workflow
- Be well-versed with a wide range of technologies across web, database, integrations, interfaces, services and server side, specifically HPQC
- Analyze requirements and have direct interaction with business and development teams to obtain approval for testing done
- Report weekly status of production incidents and project work to onsite delivery manager
What You’ll Bring with You:
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive technical support experience in a financial institution required
- Understanding of market data - Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, etc.
- Knowledge of C++ Programming, Object Oriented Concepts, C # Programming & .Net framework
- An inclination towards using Open Source Software
- Experience with SYBASE, Oracle, SQL Server
- Experience operating in a Windows environment
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Extensive knowledge of ETF, Structured products, Understanding of Equities, Derivatives.
- Good Interpersonal analytical, written & verbal communication skills
- Exposure of working with International clients and cross cultural teams
- Nice to Have
- Experience in a Unix (Linux/Solaris) environment
- Hands on experience working with PERL, Shell Scripts and Product Knowledge
