NCQA is hiring a Sr. Application Developer! The Sr. Application Developer is responsible for technical development, programming, and implementation of web-based applications related to NCQA data collection and reporting programs at a high or expert level. They serve as a trusted technical resource on the technical design, development, distribution, and maintenance of data collection and reporting applications. They help develop and enforce technical processes and standards and troubleshoots technical issues related to custom developed software. They maintain current industry knowledge on the trends of technology as related to the development and programming of web-based applications and collaborates with other staff in the understanding and adoption of appropriate technology.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Leads, designs, plans, and executes programming approaches to support various development projects. Can code at an expert level in applications such as C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, SQL, React, TypeScript, Git, Azure, etc.
• Provides technical assistance to users of NCQA applications; trouble-shoots technical problems and communicates solutions to users and/or delegates to the appropriate staff
• Provides guidance to data reporting analysts on complex data issues
• Responsible for creating and maintaining documentation and developing test plans for assigned projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree
• 4+ years experience or specific educational background sufficient to demonstrate competency with Microsoft technology including ASP.NET (C#) and SQL Server
• Proficient with programming languages as appropriate particularly ASP.NET and modern web frameworks such as React.
• Comfortable with Object Oriented Programming and Software Patterns.
• Excellent inter-personal skills. High motivation and ability to work with teams to meet project objectives.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to meet project deadlines and goals without management supervision
• Awareness of database design concepts, and general Windows environment.
• Comfortable with Word, Excel, Access.
