Sr Active Directory Engineer

You will support a highly complex environment consisting multiple AD forests with a future emphasis on cloud technologies and services. Collaborate with other teams including security, compliance, server, and application administration to ensure AD is designed, configured, and maintained as per our defined, regulated, and audited policies and standards. You will provide support and administration as well as implementation, testing, and maintenance of AD environment(s) and its services.
Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering level work on Active Directory and Domain administration and demonstrate the ability to be a subject matter expert in AD technologies
- Triage incidents and ensure those incidents are resolved in a timely manner based on predefined SLAs
- Identify tasks that can be delegated, and create the required documentation needed to fully operationalize the tasks
- Administrate integrated solutions to meet business requirements or enhance performance
- Ensure continuity in the day-to-day operation of the Windows Active Directory multi domain infrastructure (LDAP, Directory Replication, Group Policy, Establishing Trusts, Organizational Units, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
- Provide technical consultation on current and proposed systems and applications to other organizations and clients
- Perform repairs, maintenance and upgrades of existing systems using solutions in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Participate in Change Management process including research, documentation, planning and implementation
- Analyze and resolve program support deficiencies and conduct testing to enhance performance
- Conduct moderately complex projects or phases of significant projects and coordinate the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects
- Apply research techniques and assist in the implementation and documentation of processes and procedures to ensure compliance with standard business practices
- Perform root cause analysis of critical outage and incidents, engineer permanent solutions, and coordinate implementation

Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft AD architecture and infrastructure (LDAP, Directory Replication, Group Policy, ADFS, ADDS, DNS, SSO, DHCP).
- Experience with Windows Server 2008 - 2019
- Experience in system engineering, software engineering, operating systems, programming or architecture to include:
- 5 years of hand-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory, experience installing, configuring, upgrading and AD migrations; experience implementing High Availability solutions
- Demonstrates knowledge of Internet fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, HTTP)
- Experience with certificate services/PKI administration
- Experience managing AD using PowerShell and/or other scripting languages
- Knowledge of Citrix Xenapp is a plus
- Good knowledge of VMWare vSphere and associated products (eg vCenter, SRM)
- Strong knowledge of performance management and capacity planning.
- Good working knowledge of installing Windows W2K12/W2K16 on industry standard hardware (e.g. HP/IBM/Dell -including blade servers)
- Working knowledge of GENEOS for monitoring
- Analytical and creative problem-solving skills for the design, creation and testing of systems
- Availability to provide after-hours support for a 24x7x365 operational environment
- Communication skills to communicate system proposals to management and customers and provide systems diagnoses and resolution for current systems
- 10+ years relevant experience
