Overview

The SQL Developer will work closely with the Data Analytics team and Software Developers to implement new information strategies and enhance existing ones for a large and complex portfolio of insurance applications.

Responsibilities

• Code SQL stored procedures used by CCMSI applications, reports, and users
• Write reports and interfaces for both internal and external users
• Perform ETL for data sent and received from customers
• Work across IT teams to ensure code quality, performance, and scalability of deployed products.
• Review and evaluate application requirements (business, functional, and technical)
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Individual must be detail oriented and a self-starter with strong organizational abilities
• Must also possess independent work habits and must have strong written and verbal skills
• Must demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and multi-tasking abilities as well as demonstrate the ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly
• Reliable, predictable attendance with client service hours for the performance of this position
• Responsive to internal and external client needs

Education and/or Experience

• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience required

Computer Skills

• SQL, preferably Microsoft T-SQL
• Relational Databases, preferably MS SQL Server
• Reporting (SSRS, Crystal)
• ETL (SSIS)
• Scripting technologies, such as PowerShell of VBA
• Visual Studio/ Integrated Development Environment
• Version Control tools (Git/GitHub, TFS)

2-5 years minimum of experience developing solutions for SQL Server
