SQL Developer (remote)
Overview
Knowledge Services is actively seeking a Remote SQL Database Developer for a 1 year contract with the State of TN Department of Health. This role will be 100% remote but must be able to travel to Nashville at their own expense twice a year. Nashville based applicants are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
The SQL Database Developer will be responsible for the critical development of intermediate to advanced SOL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions that ensure the overall infrastructure of the IDS is flexible and scalable to accommodate future needs.
• Participating in developing system requirements, assisting with the ascertainment of data sources, development of regular data communication processes between internal data sources, onboarding those data sources into the IDS, and design and development of the facility index within the IDS.
• Work closely with data stewards and outside partners to better understand their requests, needs, and uses of TOH data.
• Develop a robust evaluation and monitoring plan to better describe the utilization of the portal, popular data sets, common problems, etc. and use this to make improvement recommendations.
• Responsible for documenting all maintenance and update procedures to ensure that future data sets are incorporated seamlessly.
Qualifications
The following qualifications are needed for the SQL Database Developer:
• 3-5 years SQL Development experience
• (RDBMS) Relational database architecture and design
• Healthcare Analytics/Data
• Experience working with MS SOL Server databases developing high-quality database solutions and possess in depth knowledge of database design and optimization.
• Experience in Entity Management concepts, design, and implementation as well as experience in the ascertainment and integration of new data sources.
