We are looking for an experience Test Automation developer with Ruby experience. Below is a snap shot of what this person would be working with:

  • Developing, testing, and maintaining Ruby test automation
  • Experience with SQL
  • Executing REST API tests using tools such as Postman, Restassured, etc.
  • Aligning to object-oriented design patterns and best practices
  • Utilizing knowledge of API design patterns (HTML verbs, response codes, etc.)
  • Validating test results match OAS/Swagger documents
  • Creating and maintaining Concourse/Harness pipelines
  • Planning for multiple testing phases (IT, ST, UAT, etc.)
  • Lowering defect injection rate through appropriate test coverage, risk-based testing, etc.
  • Collaborating with business partners to ensure APIs provide value to consumers
  • Delivering quality results on time with minimal supervision
  • Ability to distill complex requirements

As a Software Engineer, you will focus primarily on providing high quality, efficient technology solutions to business partners by crafting new software applications or modifying and/or supporting existing packaged or custom-built applications. In this capacity, you'll analyze, code, configure, test, debug, document and maintain applications.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes, solutions, develops, tests, debugs, documents and deploys software according to standards in an agile environment.
  • Uses DevSecOps practices, tooling and techniques.
  • Drives continuous improvement and learning through ongoing training, practice and innovation.
  • Manages medium to large project priorities, deadlines and deliverables proactively.


May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to a Technology Manager/Director.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Completion of undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or other related degree. Technology experience or non-traditional technology certificates can be substituted for an undergraduate degree.

Experience: Four or more years of analysis and technology experience.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Proficiency in one or more programming language such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript. Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle. Proven ability to tackle complex business and development problems. Ability to thrive in a team environment. Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager's leader and Human Resources Business Partner.
