The Warfighting & Counterspace Department of the Special Programs Division provides technical expertise, systems engineering and mission assurance to the United States Space Force’s Warfighting Enterprise Division of the Special Programs Directorate. The Warfighting & Counterspace Department is involved in the development and continued improvement of several ground-based systems that play key roles in our nation’s defense. This position applies systems engineering expertise to the largest program in the department
What You’ll Be Doing
Apply systems engineering experience and discipline to an on-going classified program
Provide mission assurance to the program
Help assure the Aerospace team is applying expertise to the appropriate aspects of the program
Prepare technical reports and presentations to disseminate findings, guidance and technical information
This position requires less than 25% travel
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from a recognized institution
Twelve years of relevant experience
Systems engineering experience to include both process and technical expertise
Ability to work effectively with matrixed technical expertise, government, SETA and prime contractors and other FFRDCs
Experience with at least one DoD ground system
Familiarity with agile software development processes
Familiarity with the cybersecurity risk management framework
Familiarity with radio frequency systems
Clear written and oral communications
The position requires a current Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain additional clearances which are issued by the US government. US citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
