JOB SUMMARY

The Solutions Engineer is responsible for providing technical solution support to our front-line sales team, prospects and customers to drive sales of our recurring revenue IT services and project services with a focus on Microsoft services and solutions. The position entails solution design, proposal development, sales support, collaboration with the solution deployment team, solution cross-training for on-going support and continuous expansion of acumen. Along with a primary focus on Microsoft solutions such as M365, Teams, Azure and Active Directory, the position also encompasses the development of solutions related to network infrastructure, cloud, security and storage.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide technical solution support for the sale of recurring revenue services with a focus on Microsoft services.
    • Provide solution consultation and design support for the sale of IT products and project services with a focus on Microsoft solutions.
    • Complete technical review of hardware specifications and finalize network infrastructure solutions for quotes.
    • Develop proposals related to recurring and non-recurring services and solutions.
    • Provide phone-based consultation to stakeholders throughout all phases of service and solution sales.
    • Participate in on-site sales appointments for scaled solutions to address in-depth technical questions.
    • Collaborate with solution deployment team members to ensure successful solution deployment, documentation and cross-training for on-going support
    • Participate in R&D activity for new products and services
    • Continuously enhance technical knowledge and attain sales qualifications in various lines of hardware and Microsoft Products.
    • Meet or exceed service and solution sales targets in tandem with front line account executives via new customer development.

EDUCATION

    • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university is preferred; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Microsoft Certifications related to infrastructure, AD, M365/Teams, Azure and other cloud services


EXPERIENCE

    • Prior experience working with servers, SANs, networking and peripherals
    • Prior experience working with Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Modern Workplace, and related solutions
    • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Excellent customer service skills
