Are you eager to own and provide software solutions and improve efficiency of systems? The Solutions Engineer will offer this high level of support to the Account Management, Account Specialist, and Provisioning Data Services teams at CA. In this role, you’ll work closely with the teams responsible for providing the company’s rostering solutions. We’ll rely on you to provide intermittent guidance on advanced solutions for technical rostering, which impacts districts that utilize Automated Provisioning and includes some of CA’s largest customers. This may include both written and verbal communication with district leaders and SIS administrators.
The impact you’ll have:
- Develop, maintain, and test tools that increase team efficiency to support our rapidly growing set of provisioned customers
- Partner with Product Management team to develop and maintain customer service facing solutions for CA’s rostering products
- When necessary, work closely with the Account Management team to ensure that customer data is integrating smoothly into the i-Ready platform
- Provide technical troubleshooting when students, teachers, administrators, or enrollments are not rostering as expected in peak times
- Provide thoughtful and concise answers regarding questions about various rostering solutions including Clever, OneRoster, and proprietary formats
- Spearhead development of clear internal training plans and activities for use with both team veterans and new hires alongside our Account Management team
- As needed, assist Provisioning Implementation Specialist team in setting up advanced rostering solutions
- Participate in a continuous improvement process to identify and deliver new tools, technologies and processes that transform our service delivery framework
Who we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- 2+ years of experience in a software development role
- Strong knowledge of React, PHP, NodeJS, GraphQL, and MySQL
- Familiar with JIRA, Confluence and Git
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to develop creative solutions in a dynamic, high-volume environment
- Strong listening and communication skills – both oral and written
- Ongoing learner – able to learn and incorporate new and complex concepts quickly
- A self-starter: you are an organized, disciplined, and competitive professional who can work independently, with some direction
- High attention to detail and ability to follow complicated directions
- Able to handle ambiguity and favorably navigate through stressful situations and pressing deadlines
- Demonstrates integrity, ethical standards, and a professional demeanor
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to perform technical, operational, and support activities when needed

Location: Currently, Curriculum Associates employees are working remotely due to Covid-19. Once it is safe to go back into the office, this position will be required to be in either our Billerica, MA or Tucson, AZ office.
