Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a core team member, responsible for providing solutions for large high priority cross platform initiatives.
  • Interacts with business partners and product engineering teams to share and direct architecture practices and migration plans that may affect business solution delivery
  • Provide architectural governance, drive alignment to technical strategy, company platform roadmaps, and enterprise standards
  • Focuses on cross-platform integration to use and optimize platform capabilities
  • Act as the authority on integrations and capability overlaps between systems and platforms across the Global Commercial Services domain
  • Identifies technical solutions and business process improvements in support of the business and IT strategic direction
  • Actively participate in team and enterprise-wide architecture and engineering discussions
  • Introduce enterprise architectural paradigms and solutions into the portfolio
  • Finds opportunities to embrace innovative technologies
  • Communicate to senior leaders regarding strategy direction and changes

Depending on role and business needs, colleagues will either work onsite, in a hybrid model (combination of in-office and virtual days) or fully virtually.

If the role you are applying for is designated as hybrid or onsite, you will be required to demonstrate that you have completed your primary COVID-19 vaccination series (i.e., 2 doses for Moderna/Pfizer and 1 dose for J&J) and, for medically eligible* colleagues, a booster shot, in order to work in or visit any of our offices. This requirement is subject to legally required accommodations.

*Booster eligibility: The CDC has established guidelines for when adults are eligible to receive booster shots depending on when they completed their initial vaccine series (currently five months after the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines, and two months after the J&J Vaccine). If you have completed your primary vaccine series but have not yet reached your booster eligibility date, you will be able to come into the office; however, you will need to complete your booster within 30 days of becoming eligible to continue coming in and participating in company-sponsored in-person events.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering
  • 3+ years of experience with application solution architecture design and end-to-end software development of complex distributed (multi-tiered) systems ensuring high resiliency, availability, and reliability
  • 3 + years of experience in multiple IT disciplines with a confirmed understanding of architectural concepts (business, data, technical and solution) and track record of implementation
  • 5 + years of experience using a systems analysis and design methodology that is applicable to an agile product environment
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or information technology



Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in modern technologies (e.g. docker, Kubernetes, Java, Spring, Springboot, Reacts / Redux) and RDMS & NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, Couchbase, Cassandra) along with CI/CD tooling e.g. Github enterprise, Jenkins, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (verbal and written), as well as effective consultative and influential leadership skills
  • Proven experience in sharing engineering expertise with others to further the team / organization
  • Proven experience in demonstrating our Enterprise Leadership Behaviors i.e.
  • Set the Agenda: Define What Winning Looks Like, Put Enterprise Thinking First, Lead with an External Perspective
  • Ability to give constructive feedback to engineering teams to increase product adoption
  • Bring Others with You: Build the Best Team, Seek & Provide Coaching Feedback, Make Collaboration Essential
