The Opportunity

Delaware North is hiring for a Solution Architect to join our Enterprise Architecture team at our Global Headquarters. As a Solution Architect, you will create solution architecture designs to support enterprise programs and projects, ensuring that each design meets both functional and non-functional requirements and aligns to enterprise standards, including any vendor packages included within an overall solution. You will serve as a thought leader, engaging with stakeholders throughout the organization on enterprise changes enabled by technology.

We are open to a remote work arrangement with candidates residing outside of the Buffalo, NY area provided you are willing to work east coast business hours and travel to headquarters as required. For local candidates, we are open to a flexible, hybrid work solution.

Responsibilities

• Through strong communication, collaboration, and ability to influence, builds relationships with key stakeholders across the organization
• Accountable for creating architecture designs that communicate changes within our application, information and technology architectures in support of a business outcome
• Contributes to the creation and maintenance of organizational standards covering business, application, information and technology capabilities and services
• Works as an extension of architecture governance, ensuring solutions and vender packages align to organizational technology standards
• Contributes to managing and adding to our reference architecture repository, including continual communication and feedback from other stakeholders
• Partners with project managers to break down solution designs into executable tasks
• Stays informed on emerging technology trends and solutions
• Contributes to the function-level metrics and performance measures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Management, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience within information technology
• 2+ years of experience as a solution architect, or equivalent position responsible for documenting system designs and ensuring alignment to best practices
• Experience within hospitality or sports service industries are preferred, but not required
• Experience with modeling and design frameworks such as ArchiMate or UML, including supporting viewpoints to communicate system components and their interactions
• Experience in translating complex technical concepts to easy-to-understand designs for any audience
• Experience with technical concepts such as integration platforms, cloud services, networking and compute concepts, application frameworks and data modeling approaches
• Travel as needed
• Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the US without restrictions.
