About the job
The Red Hat Business Unit is looking for a Solutions Architect to join us. In this role, you will conduct technical demonstrations of Red Hat products and identify the appropriate solution to meet customers' technical needs and architecture.
What you will do

  • Give technical presentations on open source technologies and Red Hat solutions to new and existing customers
  • Provide technical support for any request for proposal (RFP) and request for information (RFI) response process
  • Plan and implement proof-of-concepts requested by customers on Red Hat products
  • Collaborate with the broader presale account team to define, illustrate, and prove how Red Hat software solutions meet the needs of a customer-based solution architecture
  • Participate in and guide solution-specific subject matter expert teams and create whitepapers/best practices, tuning guides, and other solution-specific technical collateral
  • Participate in and assist with defining account strategy with broader account teams and work cross-functionally within Red Hat to deliver on customer and account team expectations
  • Educate and help customers adopt DevOps practices and continuous integration and continuous deployment


What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in computer science or related field and 3+ years of experience in the job offered or related role
  • 3+ years of experience with: programming languages like shell script, Python, Java, or Javascript; Linux platform, including RHEL; and databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
  • 2+ years of experience with: artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning and edge computing; managing and utilizing cloud systems like AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, Google Cloud, and OpenStack; and working with Kubernetes and OpenShift
  • 1+ year(s) of experience with: configuration management; and web services or APIs
  • Willingness to travel required up to 50% of the time to customer sites and conferences, following Red Hat's COVID-19 guidelines; travel expenses covered by Red Hat, Inc.
