Solutions Architect
Location: REMOTE
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Solutions Architect - This is a FULLY REMOTE position
Responsibilities:
• Steer and/or participate on multi-faceted teams through strategy development with a focus on producing destination architectures for a given domain space
• Participate in large scale vendor evaluation and selection initiatives as the lead contributing architect
• Define and document full solution architectures inclusive of business, application, data, technology, and security perspectives
• Lead a center of practice for our highly federated Solution Architecture community
• Lead by example - contribute to and adopt enterprise practice standards with an eye toward continuous improvement with an agile mindset
• Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of modern technology strategies
• Stay abreast of new technologies and explore innovative opportunities to apply technology as a strategic differentiator
• Lead the development of architecture patterns inclusive of tech stack standards and reusable code snippets
• Participate in the rationalization of the technology footprint including enterprise reference modeling and technical debt catalog
• Participate in the Architecture Review Board, applying a balance of enforcing enterprise governance policies against a pragmatic exception process
• Mentor junior level architects or other tech roles across disciplines
Qualifications:
• 4 or more years of hands-on Solution Architecture experience
• Hands-on software engineering experience, ideally in a vendor product or start up environment
• Broad exposure to multiple business verticals participating in strategy development and architecture roadmaps
• Hands-on cloud development experience in Azure or AWS. Certifications a plus.
• Experience integrating vendor solutions using robust and secure loosely coupled patterns such as event-message
• Experience influencing with facts in undisciplined decision-making processes
• Solid understanding of modern packaging and CI/CD techniques
• Exposure to large, complex environments combining multiple software methodologies including agile architecture techniques
• Experience working with standard architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, and FEAF. Certifications a plus. Personal Qualities

• Ability to communicate and collaborate with a very broad audience representing varying levels of interests and skills
• Ability to facilitate group working sessions remotely
• Ability to influence analysis and design approach and driving pragmatic architecture trade-off analysis with quantified decision making
