Notarize is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to partner with sales teams to drive value for prospective customers and achieve revenue targets, through the combination of strong technical abilities and outstanding interpersonal and presales skills. Part of a world class, fast-paced SaaS company, this role provides a great opportunity to learn and build expertise with Remote Online Notarization while making a large impact for enterprise customers and consumers across industries. 

By working with prospective customers to understand their strategic business goals and align our solutions, you will be the key subject matter expert and trusted advisor when interacting with stakeholders through product demonstrations and other presales activities. As a creative problem solver, you will also drive cross-functional internal collaboration to ensure the entire customer experience lifecycle is positive.

What you'll do as a solutions architect:

  • Provide subject matter expertise to support sales teams and business development as the primary technical resource in driving new business in the Mortgage and Lending space
  • Lead pre-sales activities including building and delivering customized demonstrations, assisting with RFPs, conducting Proof of Technology initiatives, scoping project requirements, and leading additional technical discussions 
  • Become a trusted advisor for prospective customers by understanding their use cases and technical requirements in order to design the appropriate solution recommendation that will drive business value
  • Become a product expert and keep up to date with new feature releases, key use cases, integration capabilities, and customer success stories
  • Stay current on the competitive landscape and emerging technologies and identify feedback and suggestions relevant to product, engineering, sales and marketing
  • Work cross-functionally within Notarize to ensure our solutions are driving value for our customers
  • Collaborate with team members globally to share learnings, best practices, use cases, and customer stories

What we're looking for:

  • Entry level, 1-3, or 5+ years technical sales or presales experience 
  • Experience working in fast-paced SaaS organizations
  • Demonstrable experience with REST APIs, Integrations, Security
  • Familiarity with Postman, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Node.js, Ruby on Rails, GraphQL is a plus
  • Background working in Real Estate, Loan Origination Systems, ESignature, eMortgage ecosystem
  • Ability to present competently and confidently to customers
  • Ability to handle business and technical objections during demonstrations
  • Ability to develop a solid understanding of our customers’ business need and technical requirements in order to map that information to a solution that meets their needs
  • Ability to rapidly learn, understand, and work with emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities with a 'Yes before No' attitude, helping to overcome any technical hurdles with the adoption and roll out of Notarize solutions during the pre-sales process
  • Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills; self-driven, with the ability to work independently when required

How would you describe the company’s work-life balance?

Leadership makes work-life balance a priority so that employees feel comfortable doing the same, which is really refreshing and so necessary, now more than ever. For example, we’re required to take a “Pandemic Day” every month (on top of any PTO we might also take). It’s a great way to ensure we recharge at a time when burnout is real.

What's the biggest problem your team is solving?

My team has been working to enable multiple signers in different locations to sign together in the same notary meeting. It's been quite challenging to implement technically and in a legally compliant way. It's exciting to be able to offer the flexibility of signing together, apart, especially in today's increasingly remote world.
