Work you'll do/Responsibilities

Solution Developer - Aera Technology Platform

Deloitte Consulting has a strategic relationship with Aera Technology, Cognitive Automation company that makes business agility happen. We work alongside Aera to deliver custom advanced analytics and intelligent decision-making solutions to solve a wide variety of supply chain issues.

We are looking for Solution Developers to build new data analytics models and develop the data processing code for Aera's cognitive applications (Aera "Skills"). In this role, you will be responsible for building new analytics models including facts, dimensions, and measures, while designing innovative ways to process large datasets at high speeds.
Core Responsibilities

  • Build data crawlers to extract data from customers' sources using Aera's proprietary ETL platform, and troubleshoot the issues faced during data loading & processing
  • Design and build data warehouse models in columnar databases
  • Develop data processing scripts using SQL and be able to optimize complex sequences of SQL queries
  • Work with Solution Architects to understand customers' business requirements and implement them
  • Perform data analysis for complex use cases using SQL document technical specification for the cognitive applications that we are creating for the customers
  • Own the entire development and implementation workflow

Qualifications
Required

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience
  • Experience working in ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes
  • Strong SQL knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of business intelligence domain, including reporting, dashboarding, and front-end UX design
  • Strong knowledge of database management and data warehousing
  • Basic Unix knowledge
  • Familiarity with workflows in programming concepts
  • Experience using columnar databases
  • Experience working directly with customers and presenting your ideas
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Travel up to 10% annually
  • Must live a commutable distance to one of the following cities: Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Cincinnati, OH; Cleveland, OH; Dallas, TX; Detroit, MI; Houston, TX; Indianapolis, IN; Kansas City, MO; Miami, FL; Minneapolis, MN; Nashville, TN; Orange County, CA; Philadelphia, PA; Phoenix, AZ; Pittsburgh, PA; St. Louis, MO; San Diego, CA; Seattle, WA; Tallahassee, FL; Tampa, FL.
  • You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

Preferred

  • Direct experience working with the Aera Technology platform
  • Applied Python programming
  • Applied Java programming
  • Applied ML skills. R programming experience
  • Experience working with JSON and XML files
  • Experience using APIs
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Knowledge of supply chain fundamentals and terminology
