Software Tester, Lead
Key Role:

Use appropriate test tools and methodologies to execute functional, integration, and data verification tests. Support the preparation of test strategy, test data, test scripts, and other release-related artifacts in support of enhancement and O&M releases. Leverage expertise in various testing phases, including functional, integration, data migration, system, and user acceptance testing. Create test reports after completion of tests and document defects found with any information required for a developer to recreate and fix the problem. Assist with defining the test schedule, including establishing priorities and tasking for junior level testers. Execute and verify positive and negative test cases and document test results, including comparisons between source and target data and support user acceptance testing. Lead and support the creation, review, and update of test reports related Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) documents and work products. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience as a tester and analyst in hands-on application testing and developing and executing test scripts
  • 2+ years of experience in working with entity-relationship diagrams, database schemas, test data, and source to target data verification
  • Experience with working as a member of full life cycle development teams in large projects, supporting mission critical programs
  • Experience with using database query languages and tools, including SQL or TOAD to cross-verify data in the application with the database
  • Experience with using methods for the verification of Web services, including SoapUI
  • Experience with the creation and updating of automated test scripts using Selenium
  • Ability to translate functional and data requirements into SQL and write procedures and functions to test complicated data interfaces
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with supporting reporting data management and data quality applications
  • Ability to support automated testing, 508, COTS, and usability testing
  • Ability to support QA reviews, peer reviews, and reviews of SDLC products and artifacts
