Description
SAIC is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join our team located in Huntsville, AL!
The selected candidate will be a member of a highly motivated team providing test support to the CCDC S3I at Redstone Arsenal. This position is hands-on with a primary focus on software testing across several testbeds for all phases of testing to include, unit, integration and system level.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Analyzing requirements and design concepts in a S&T environment
- Generating and executing manual test procedures, documenting actual results during execution, reviewing and analyzing the test results, and reporting anomalies into the defect tracking database
- Develop automated tests scripts to support newly added functionality and updating existing automated test scripts for software regression testing
- Tracking defect reports from creation to closure, documenting detail description of the defect and working with software developers to reproduce
- Participating in test case peer reviews and providing feedback making sure that developed test cases meet the specified requirements
- Assist in maintaining traceability matrix, maintaining regression test database, and creating test reports at the end of each testing phase
- Works closely with system engineers, software engineers, software testers, safety and system integrators
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 0+ years of relevant experience
Clearance: Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance; Interim Secret Clearance required to start
Required Skills:
- Experience documenting test procedures, executing test cases, documenting actual test results, identifying software defects and creating test reports
- Demonstrated aptitude to learn complex technical aspects of a software application and systems
- Knowledge and experience in structured software testing
