POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a highly talented and experienced test automation engineer to join our team as we design and implement a new software system using an open and flexible cloud-based architecture that will integrate with several mission applications. You will be an invaluable asset within the Test Team with an in-depth knowledge of the functional and technical capabilities of automated test tools. You will establish an automated test framework for the new system, develop comprehensive test scripts and troubleshoot unexpected, automated test results to determine the root cause of identified issues. You are an independent technical leader with daily tasks and activities routinely performed with minimal guidance from management.

What You'll Get to Do

  • Ensure existing automated scripts can be modified, improved, and enhanced to increase the confidence that regression test results accurately reflect legacy functional performance.
  • Demonstrate portability of test frameworks so that they can be used on multiple infrastructure platforms through configuration
  • Provide technical authority in the test automation discipline and oversee the processes associated with this effort
  • Become the primary go-to person for solving automated test issues associated with the complexity of evaluating system performance, translations, and other aspects of the system
  • Conduct technical analyses of multiple test tool products as needed, providing an informative, detailed recommendation for product selection
  • Develop/enhance an in-house training curriculum to educate the other members of the Test Team in developing, executing, and analyzing automated test scripts
  • Use in-depth knowledge of test automation to address technical policies and procedures throughout the program
  • Demonstrate ways that real-time, automated test reporting and notification can tie into Agile development processes
  • Demonstrate understanding of testing at multiple levels (Unit, Integration, System, etc.), collaborating to build a comprehensive test strategy and implementation.
