This position will require 10% travel.You will be the Software Quality Engineering (SQE) Manager over a team of SQEs supporting BDS Space & Launch and Vertical Lift programs. Primary program locations include Southern California, Houston, Ridley Park, and Mesa, however this is mostly a virtual position with some minimal travel. You will interface with Business Unit leads to understand customer requirements and planned SQE work-loads, to align priorities, and to address elevated issues. You will not only manage staffing and performance, but will passionately motivate and lead your team through an organizational change which requires an enhanced level of SQE engagement on programs.Position Responsibilities:

• Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Software Engineering.
• Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
• Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
• Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in (Huntsville, Alabama). This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree
• 5+ years of experience supporting software development programs

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Active Security Clearance
• Agile methodologies
• Software quality experience
