What will your day look like?
You will be responsible for assisting with the development and execution of the overall Software Quality Assurance strategy for Alliant Credit Union's web and mobile applications. Working in an Agile software development environment, the SQAA will provide Quality Assurance (QA) expertise, drive execution and adoption of the testing strategy, assist in identifying testing tools, disseminate the testing approach to implementation teams for all OLB, NMA, EBP, CLOS and Mobile products, and be responsible for ensuring product quality. This is a hands-on job that requires analytical thinking, technical aptitude, an ability to work closely with business and development teams and QA expertise throughout the entire product development life cycle, ensuring the success of the QA team's manual and automated testing efforts. The SQAA will collaborate regularly with QA team members and third party test resources. Direction is received from the Manager of Software Quality Assurance.

Software Quality Assurance and Support Responsibilities (75%):
- Creating and maintaining test automation scripts from regression tests
- Improve build quality and consistency though use of CI tools.
- Utilize templates, tools, metrics and best practices to verify that products meet business and user requirements
- Work closely with the engineers and product managers to write test plans, estimates, and schedules, to support projects and product releases in accordance with the overall Quality Assurance Strategy
- Execute functional and user acceptance test cycles
- Set up Test lab with hardware/software configurations needed
- Provide documentation to management and project teams to determine release readiness of products or product features
- Facilitate project problem solving and trouble shooting of quality issues
- Champion effective defect management best practices
Strategy, Planning and Support Responsibilities (25%):
- Assist in the development of the long term strategy for QA testing, automation testing, load testing and QA best practices
- Assist in the development of project schedules, accommodate issues, scope or timeline changes and revise work estimates to develop high quality software products
- Collect and report quality assurance standards/metrics to inform the leadership team of improvement areas and strategies in the overall product development life cycle
- Assist in the evaluation and/or implementation of tools needed for test automation
- Act as liaison between Business users and the Project Development Team
- Mentor Business users on proper procedures for Information Systems related projects, including requirements definition and testing
Adhere to and ensure compliance of all business transactions with policy and process of the Bank Secrecy Act. Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, company procedures and policies. Maintains integrity and ethics in all actions and conversations with or regarding credit union members and their accounts; complies with Privacy Act directives.
Qualifications
What makes you a great fit?
You'll be a great fit if in addition to the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or 3 years of software quality assurance project experience, and you have:
- Experience using TFS or equivalent software for test case development and testing management required
- 2+ years working in an SCRUM/agile software development environment is preferred
- 2+ years' experience working within the ITIL Development framework including incident, service, problem, and change management processes and procedures is preferred
- This position requires the candidate to have an established background in agile software development methodology (SCRUM/agile)
- Excellent project management skills
- Great communication skills
- Motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment while delivering on defined schedules and adapting to a dynamic envornment
- This individual must have a proven track record of successfully delivering quality software products and have a strong sense of quality ownership
- Experience in executing automated test scripts built for testing API/Mobile/Web applications utilizing tools like Postman.
- Experience working in a Financial Institution preferred
