About the Team


The Business Analyst reports into the Onboarding Project Manager and plays a key role in the analysis, evaluation and documentation of client needs as part of HouseCanary’s ComeHome product onboarding team. This role will partner with key members of various HouseCanary teams (Product, Customer Success, Sales, Engineering) to help ensure a smooth implementation/onboarding for our customers. The Business Analyst will also work closely with external (client facing) teams to solicit and clearly document business and technical requirements related to implementation of the ComeHome product.

What You’ll Do

  • Works closely with onboarding Project Manager and Software Integration Engineer as a key member of the implementation/onboarding team. 
  • Works directly with customers to understand and document business and technical requirements for implementation of HouseCanary Products.
  • Works with implementation and product teams to prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
  • Supports the implementation of new customers, products and/or services, including participation in user acceptance testing in production or beta environments.
  • Demonstrated experience/ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Conducts business process evaluations, interviewing internal and external customers, to gain technical knowledge of business requirements.
  • Actively contributes to the results of a team and works towards achieving team goals and objectives.
  • Experience creating detailed documentation, reports, or illustrations and walking through outputs both internally and externally.
  • Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Perform user acceptance testing.
  • Evaluate impact of proposed solutions on stakeholders and users (change management).

What You Have

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or information technology related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in client-facing business analysis or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to work with diverse groups (business and technical)
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Experience with business intelligence and analytics tools.
  • Advanced technical skills.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and documentation skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft and Google applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity/Experience with Atlassian Tools (Jira / Confluence) is a plus.
  • Familiarity/Experience with API’s and JSON is a plus.
  • A track record of following through on commitments.
  • A history of contributing to and supporting successful projects.
  • Desire to be a part of a highly collaborative team.
  • Flexible and adaptable in approach.
