Our eMobility Division is currently seeking Senior Professional Software Engineers to join our expanding team. These positions will be based in Southfield, MI or Tualatin, OR.

Open positions:

  • Lead Software Engineer: Minimum of five (5) years of experience

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of base software components following software development schedule
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle (Requirements, Design, Coding and testing)
  • Create engineering documentation including software requirements, technical reports, software validation procedures, and instructions
  • Support bench level test and troubleshooting activities
  • Lead code review effort and release software components and documentation
  • Apply the appropriate software standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the software development life cycle
  • Conduct and participate in peer reviews to ensure compliant, robust, and high-quality software
  • Interact with the software team and other disciplines to investigate issues and create solutions
  • Support software project lead with the software development plan, milestones, effort estimations, and testing requirements
  • Suggest continuous improvements for processes and best practices from the industry
  • On-site customer support, as needed, to collect data for issue analysis

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Control Engineering, Electronics Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with embedded systems C/C++ programming .


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in electrical and/or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Control Engineering, Electronics Engineering, preferable master degree .
  • Prior experience of developing software in compliance with ISO26262 and ASPICE standards a plus
  • Prior experience in software development with safety product and AUTOSAR
  • Working knowledge of variety of CPU architectures and low level driver for microcontroller peripheral interfaces such as SPI, I2C, Lin, USB, ADC, I/O, PWM, GTM and CAN/CAN-FD communication
  • Prior experience with NVRAM management, diagnostics (DEM/DCM), OBD II a plus
  • Prior experience with vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernetetc) and CAN tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape, INCA/xETK, etc )
  • Experience with OTA, secure boot, secure on-board communication (SecOC or similar), AUTOSAR crypto stack and HSM firmware a plus
  • Experience with developing controls system design such as motor/torque management, coolant controls, power distribution, OBC or DC&DC control a plus
  • Working software development experience in model-based application controls design using standard tools such as MATLAB-Simulink or UML
  • Working experience with IBM JAZZ
  • Experience developing software according to MISRA coding standards and MAAB standards.
  • Local candidates that do not require relocation or visa sponsorship .


Success Criteria:

  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Understanding of vehicle markets
  • Working experience in cross-functional team organization and globally distributed engineering teams a plus
  • Knowledge of OEM or Tier1 development process
  • Good interpersonal skills, particularly with respect to written and oral communication
  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a hands-on laboratory environment with common lab equipment (O-scopes, DMMs, Network and Spectrum analyzers, etc.)
  • Self-starter, communication, and problem-solving skills
