Job Description Software Engineering Manager - Zero Trust Solution Development
In this role you will lead a team of engineers building applications that support one of the largest enterprise data networks in the world. Your focus on automation and the development of micro services in support of the provisioning and management of the data network will position JPMorgan as a technology leader in the networking segmentation space.
The Network Segmentation product team, under the scope of Global Networking Services, is searching for candidates for a newly created team within the network security, cloud & connectivity space. The group is strategically critical for the firm and will support the Virtual Network Boundaries (VNB) product by developing & operating software solutions in order to tackle operational, engineering & security challenges within the product line.
In addition to general development work, the team will be part of developing and supporting next generation security segmentation technologies, in order to allow application & infrastructure developers to deliver secure applications from the start with a more flexible and simplified connectivity model that can be leveraged through modern development & deployment methods. The solution would help to provide a more streamlined application & infrastructure deployment process by rethinking & modernizing the current cloud, security & implementation process requirements for network segmentation.
We are looking for candidates with experienced in

  • Software development in Java or Python.
  • AWS cloud and networking
  • Dev Ops and Agile methodologies
  • Back End development
  • Relational Databases (such as Oracle).


Experience with the following is desired (but not exclusive):

  • Go Lang or C++ development.
  • Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)
  • Front End development
  • Non-relational databases (such as Redis)
  • Information Security concepts & mindset
  • Cloud environments & technologies.
  • Microservice architecture & technologies
  • Naming Services.


You may be a good fit if you:

  • Support an environment that identifies opportunities to develop others through mentorship and leading by example
  • Adept at partnering closely with, and acting as a trusted advisor to, stakeholders across the firm to influence strategic priorities
  • Ability to articulate to more experienced management a technical strategy in clear, concise, understandable terms
  • Ability to learn, drive development, and develop strategically critical solutions for the firm.
  • Have professional software development experience at a senior level.
  • Have experience on design and deployment of systems for managing large scale and global application deployments.
  • Are able to collaborate with operational, development, engineering and architecture teams.
  • Are able to own the lifecycle of feature development from design to release.
