Department Description
The Cross Product Change Services Team within Corporate and Investment Bank, Digital Platform Services provides change services such as Business Analysis, Data Analytics, Process Assessment and re-engineering, Automation, Testing and Implementation support, Project management and delivery to the Wholesale Payments, Markets, Securities Services businesses and cross business functions like Network Management, Client Tax and KYC.
We are seeking an experienced hands on JAVA application development manager to lead development POD in Wholesale Client Onboarding KYC, for the Cross Product Change Services Team.
Role Description
The Test Automation Manager will accomplish results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval.
Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all technology components of diverse, complex automation projects, including project planning, execution, timing, functionality, quality and cost.
  • Utilizes expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and to resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met.
  • Communicates with end-users to provide timely and accurate information and status updates.
  • Has shared responsibility for budget, policy formulation and planning.
  • Contributes to formulation of strategies for project leadership and other functional areas.
  • Evaluates subordinates' performance and makes decisions on pay increases, hiring, terminations and other personnel actions.
  • Applies in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.
  • Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of how areas of IT project leadership collectively integrate to contribute to achieving business goals.
  • Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated and unique situations.
  • Directly impacts the IT project leadership area through responsibility for delivery of end results and shared responsibility for budget management; accountable for resource planning.
  • Ensures essential procedures are followed and contributes to defining standards.
  • Persuades and influences others through communication and diplomacy skills; may negotiate with external parties.


Technical Skills Required:

  • 5 years of hands on development experience in JAVA technologies, architecting, developing, and maintaining an innovative test automation environment including automation test framework design and development
  • 5 years of experience with hands on automation testing, developing and executing automated test scripts using Automated Testing Tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin, Groovy, Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
  • 5 years of experience with agile development (preferably SAFe), test driven development advanced concepts of scrum
  • Strong technical expertise in CSS Selectors and Xpath
  • Experience in developing UI using AngularJS , ReactJS
  • Expert in working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins
  • Experience in integrating with applications deployed to AWS Cloud
  • Good to have experience in Robotics Process Automation tools like WinAutomation, UI Path, etc.


Communication:

  • Strong communication skills with ability to provide clear and succinct verbal updates on their work to colleagues, senior executives and clients.
  • Actively contributes to team meetings / conference calls with colleagues, stakeholders from other functions and clients / 3rd parties.
  • PowerPoint skills - able to create individual slides and structure presentations with minimal input and need for secondary review

  • Able to work comfortably & confidently under pressure and aggressive deadlines
  • Ability to work on hands-on basis and not limit oneself to only tracking and reporting milestones.
  • Ability to handle multiple work streams and manage personal time& stakeholder expectations to deliver against each
  • Safe pair of hands - keeps track of deliverables and proactively follow-ups and provides updates. Does not need to be reminded or chased
  • Is able to build relationships with and influence colleagues and LOB functions to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders. Not possessive about roles and responsibilities - flexible to sharing or merging roles/responsibilities with others to meet overall project or Firm objectives
  • Experienced in managing matrix teams and get the functions delivered.
  • Considerate of others, is able to take on additional work and support others during high pressure situations


Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years' experience in a related technology role with commensurate people management experience
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Master's degree
