About the Role

You will lead a strong engineering team to build out the platform to improve the commerce experience for Outreach customers, increase efficiency of revenue operation for the business, and accelerate revenue growth and improve profitability of Outreach. You have the opportunity to define the charter, products, and technology. You will invent the technical foundations of Outreach’s commerce platform, which will deliver direct, measurable, and significant financial and customer impact.


About the Team

The Monetization Services is a recently established team set to build out the first technology platform to execute monetization strategies across an expanding portfolio of Outreach products. We enable flexible subscription and consumption pricing models and product offering choices. We provide frictionless and seamless experience for customers to try, purchase, and grow their use of Outreach. We build a robust platform to empower Outreach to easily, reliably, and smartly monetize our innovations, from licensing to usage metering to billing. We create a feedback loop through capturing massive data regarding how customers use our products and learn to optimize the strategies and accelerate the impact.

Your Daily Adventures Will Include

  • Build a high-performing team with a culture of ownership, growth, impact and trust
  • Coach, and mentor your team to be autonomous and to deliver to business results with high quality
  • Own the project backlog for your team, working closely with product management and engineering stakeholders to identify projects and set priorities
  • Define and track key performance metrics for your team
  • Collaborate closely with recruiting to define job requirements, interview candidates, and build the team
  • Collaborate closely with recruiting to interview and hire strong talents

Basic Requirements

  • 3+ years of management experience with software engineering team
  • 6+ years of software development experience on backend, distributed systems
  • Previous experience mentoring and growing an engineering team
  • Demonstrated success owning and delivering on problem statements from start to finish
  • Demonstrated success bringing clarity to problems and bring simplicity to solutions
  • Demonstrated strong growth mindset and earned trust with team and cross functional partners

Preferred Requirements

  • Proficiency in working with services written in Golang is highly desirable 
  • Experience with our technical stack: React, Typescript, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Elixir, ElasticSearch, MySQL, AWS, Docker and Kubernetes
