As a Software Engineering Group Manager within PNC's C&IB Commercial Lending organization. This position is primarily based in a location within PNC’s footprint. Preferred locations are listed in this requisition. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities can be performed remotely. Additional locations may be considered.
As a Software Engineering Group Manager, Commercial Lending this leadership position will envision the future of Commercial loan digital engagements at PNC, including partnering with business units to develop, validate, and drive digital experience roadmaps that identifies where we will focus, how we will get there, and the sequence of activities required to meet our business goals and digital customer experience objectives.
Job Description
- Manages multiple development projects, development groups and/or application support functions for a major business segment.
- Oversees the development and implementation of multiple, complex, organization-wide systems .
- Allocates and ensures resource arrangements during the application development life cycle .
- Maintains relationships with clients to ensure the implementation quality of application systems .
- Provides solutions or recommendations on complicated technology issues for application development and implementation .

Competencies
Application Delivery Process – Knowledge of major tasks, deliverables, and formal application delivery methodologies; ability to utilize these in order to deliver new or enhanced applications.
Application Development Tools – Knowledge of and ability to utilize a variety of specific tools and toolkits for the development and support of applications.
IT Environment – Knowledge of an organization's IT purposes, activities and standards; ability to create an effective IT environment for business operations.
Work Experience
Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry-relevant experience is typically 8+ years. At least 5 years of prior management experience is typically required. Proven leadership experience with a moderate to large scope of responsibility is required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
