Description and Requirements
This internship will allow you, the college student, to get broad exposure to the engineering aspects of one of the largest computer manufacturers in the world. This internship will be hands-on work, where you will be assigned several real projects to complete during the summer session. It will also allow you to interact and engage with many different groups within Lenovo (Hardware team, Firmware team, Software team, Marketing, Thermal engineering, etc.) It will be a fun and rewarding summer!

We are hiring an Intern to work in our Infrastructure Solutions Group(ISG) ! Lenovo's ISG is innovating the future-defined data center, today. From the simplest to the most complex IT environments for all types of workloads, our servers, storage, networking and solutions help maximize the potential of data centers.
What You'll Do
The candidate selected for this position will be part of our Firmware R&D team. The candidate will work on programming and documentation for a new worldwide computer board. This board and documentation will be used by Lenovo to help educate middle school and high school students in S.T.E.M. technology. As a member of this team, you will engage with some of the industry's most influential experts and work with the most important technology companies. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, with high energy and passion for learning. This position is on-site at the Lenovo Morrisville, NC location.
Requirements:• Enrolled in a college or university Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology program.• Some basic level of programming skills.• General knowledge of computer hardware, comfortable building systems or changing parts.• Experienced with Linux and basic networking (cabling, TCP/IP configuration, SSH, Wi-Fi)• Self-starter that can operate with a high degree of autonomy• Utmost levels of integrity and professionalism
Preferred:• Experience with Arduino and/or Raspberry Pi a key advantage
