About the job

This position is needed to further strengthen our current team in building highly scalable, redundant software supporting our SMS business globally.


Our SMS product is evolving to better match our customers needs and with the vision to provide the best product to match the customer business use cases. Your role is to make sure our customers preferences are available within the shortest time possible for the decision making in a highly scalable manner. You will be building a backend for holding such data with the vision in mind that customers will be able to configure them themselves in the future.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Develop new software to fulfill our customers business needs
  • Write tests to cover your already excellent code with test coverage to ensure we only deliver the best quality code to serve our customers
  • Contribute and drive defining the how based on the input from business and ensure your solution is written up and discussed with stakeholders in and outside of your team
  • Set up monitoring for your team services and use it to ensure your area of responsibility is configured optimally
  • Participate and occasionally drive team level scrum ceremonies to ensure we deliver what is needed, learn from our past experience in order to get better for the new challenges ahead of us
  • Build strong connections with the fellow teammates and key stakeholders to ensure communication which will benefit us all  

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of Software development experience
  • Years of experience with complex distributed systems
  • Understanding of scalability challenges and performance of server-side code. You can design and develop horizontally-scalable and resilient systems.
  • Proficiency on at least one of the cloud platforms - AWS, Azure, or GCP. You are able to both design and develop cloud-based systems and operate them in an automated fashion.
  • Passion about quality and testing. You are able to design and develop CI/CD quality pipelines requiring as little human intervention as possible.

 

Desired:

  • Experience from writing your solutions down
  • Working knowledge of Kafka, MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis 
  • Willingness and experience to mentor young talent


Location 

This role will be based in Warsaw.
