DAT is looking for a Software Engineer to join our Keypoint Engineering team in Springfield, MO.

Candidate profile

As a Software Engineer you will work with our team of engineers and product managers to develop products that are reliable, scalable, and sustainable. You’ll be responsible for owning and delivering key projects that contribute to successful products.

What You’ll Do

• Work full stack from data to UI.
• Provide initial estimates for software changes and new software development.
• Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt it to new hardware or to upgrade interfaces and improve performance.
• Designing, and developing reliable and maintainable applications.
• Review functional requirements and analyze their impact on schedule and software design
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and direction to other team members

The Skills and Experience You’ll Bring

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or another quantitative field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a full stack software development role, preferably in an integrated development (IDE) environment. 
• Experience with object-oriented/functional programming languages, including Java, Kotlin, C++. 
• Experience with IDE programming languages, such as Netbeans, or Eclipse.
• Knowledge of  Delphi programming is a plus.
• Knowledge of the logistics or trucking industry is a major plus.
• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
