About the role
We’re building a new, core team of engineers in NYC and NJ to design and build the most critical parts of our platform. We have a strong culture of innovation and love experimenting with new technologies. In every facet of our business, we want to push the boundaries of what's possible! We're excited to find someone with the experience and ability to bring that same mentality into helping to define and build our technical stack.
- You’ll be integral in contributing to and shaping the technical roadmap.
- You’ll help define the best practices and guidelines of how we build and deploy code.
- You’ll work with other engineers to build and own products across a nascent modern tech stack, where you'll be instrumental in decision-making.
- You’ll need to lead the implementation of various systems and components that are critical to our operations.
- You’ll provide mentorship to less experienced colleagues, helping to refine their technical craft and expand their knowledge of modern practices.
- You’ll advocate for advances to our stack, identifying and evangelizing improvements to increase our quality and velocity.
The experience you have
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- One or more of the modern programming languages with strong proficiency: Java, Scala, Kotlin, C#, C++, etc.
- Proficiency in Relational DB and NoSQL DB.
- Mainstream web frameworks.
- Design and development of distributed, scalable, secure APIs.
- You worked with and supported infrastructure in the public cloud such as Azure, AWS, GCP.
- Asynchronous microservice architecture.
- Strong opinions on CI/CD and how application teams work within the platform.
- Modern orchestration and containerization products such as Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
