This role needs one to closely work with teams for gathering requirement as you design and develop solutions. Being meticulous and thorough you'll deliver high quality code that is fully tested and optimised, mostly based on, but not limited to, Cloud and Perl technology. You'll build automated testing during the delivery of the software and provide maintenance and enhancements to the existing code base. You'll also get the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing evolution of our platform design and tool chain and using your understanding of security policies and you'll create solutions that comply with these rules.
To be successful and thrive in this role you'll be a highly motivated individual with a strong background in computer science or software engineering and have excellent communication skills in order to engage with all levels of our stakeholders. In addition, you'll bring the following technical skills:
• Over 3 - 6 years of experience in Perl, OO Perl, CGI Perl, Restful web services.
• Experience with Unix/Linux and shell script.
• Good knowledge of RDBMS, SQL.
. Experience in a web technology such as Apache, JavaScript, HTML
• Good to have knowledge on AWS offerings like EKS, Lambda, EC2, S3, SQS, SNS to name a few.
It is also an added advantage if you are familiar with CI/CD tools like Bamboo, CloudBees or Jenkins. You'll also have a curious mindset and be open to work with technologies and languages you are or are not familiar with.
