The Software Engineer performs a variety of complicated tasks including production support and troubleshooting, uses technical knowledge and experience to resolve development and support issues.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, configure, deploy program, and implement software applications, servers, packages and components customized to meet specific need and requirements
  • Solid organizational skills and focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks
  • Actively engaged as a scrum team member in all agile mechanisms
  • Review, analyze, develop/modify and complete user stories within defin ition of done, on time within original estimates
  • Decomposes stories into manageable tasks and provides estimates
  • Responsible for all aspects of deliverable (detailed code design, coding, unit and integration test, automation, and deployment)
  • Design and develop solutions in C#/.Net and SQL
  • Code well documented and tested meeting code integrity and static analysis targets
  • Solves straightforward problems with high productivity
  • Able to understand the existing designs and technology choices within products, and make appropriate adjustments to existing designs when necessary
  • Peer code reviews, receive feedback and refactor code
  • Identifies repeated manual processes and advocates for automation prioritization

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree OR 5+ years of Software experience
  • 4+ years of related IT Engineering & application development experience
  • 4+ years of development and testing experience in C# / .Net programming language
  • 4+ years of experience working with SQL database and coding
  • 6+ months of Agile experience

  • Soap & ReST API experience
  • CI/CD experience
  • Automation experience
  • Hands-on modern technology experience

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada / New York City residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
