What you'll be able to do:
We're seeking an experienced Software engineer professionalto collaborate closely and continuously with fellow engineers and product owners to build, validate and release innovative software products.

  • Developand maintain applications using Data warehousing, Informatica IICS with Teradata, Oracle SQL/PLSQL or MS SQL Server.
  • Develop and deploy to cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with Spring/SpringBoot and RESTFUL Web services development.
  • Familiarity with GitHub or equivalent source control repositories.
  • Highly effective in working with other technical specialists, Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, and business partners.
  • Capable in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools and pipelines such as Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, etc.
  • Enhance testing frameworks to ensure code quality and also develop CI/CD pipelines for automation
  • Ensure developed code and practices align to Ford Standards and Policies.
  • Automate performance monitoring and notification in the event of failures using best practices and tools.
  • Work in a small agile team to deliver working software and adopt eXtreme Programming (XP) practices like paired programming and mobbing.
  • Take time to continuously learn and share with peers by playing roles of mentee and mentor over the course of delivery

The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor'sdegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field of study
  • 2+ years of experiencein development using Data warehousing, Big Data Eco System Hive (Hql) Oozie Scheduler-Big Query, ETL IBM Data Stage, Informatica IICS with Teradata, Oracle SQL/PLSQL, MS SQL Server
  • 2+ years of experience in ETL, Data warehouse in both Development end to end implementation
  • 1+ years of experience working with GCP Big query like cloud technologies

Our preferred requirements:

  • Master'sdegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field of study
  • Familiarity with Big Data, Informatica IICS, GCP and tools like GIT, Jenkins.
  • Hands on development expertise in Data warehousing, Data modeling, Data migration, ETL tools like DataStage/Informatica - Ability to understand existing on-premises ETL workflows and redesign them in GCP
  • Knowledge of BigQuery - Warehouse/ data marts, understanding of Big Query internals to write efficient queries for ELT needs, creation of views/materialized views, creation of reusable store procedures etc.
  • Expertise working with RDBMS and SQL.
  • Software Craftsmanship Experience in Test Driven Development (TDD), CI/CD. Experience helping solve application and performance issues
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to coordinate and establish trust and positive relationships across teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Agile Mentality.
