The right Software Engineer candidate is a capable developer looking to use their experience to impact next-generation software, supporting a long-term partnership with one of the world’s top travel, tourism, and hospitality industry leaders.

As our Software Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team and play a visible role in developing and directing software as you cross-collaborate with other industry-leading project partners.

Qualifications

  • Ability and willingness to embrace an AGILE development methodology
  • Understanding of AWS, Cloud Computing - AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (Developer)
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
  • Experience with RESTful API's and web services technologies such as HTTP and REST
  • Familiarity with the Spring Boot framework
  • Understanding of Microservice Architecture
  • Understanding of Security Principles
  • Familiarity with NoSQL/Relational databases, such as CouchBase and MySQL

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant experience
  • 1+ years of development experience with programming languages, including Javascript and TypeScript
  • Boot Camp experience will be considered 
  • Proficiency in software engineering tools
  • Outstanding critical thinking abilities and interpersonal communication skills
  • Understanding of the software development life cycle

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems 
  • Design and test new software and fix bugs
  • Participate in pair programming
  • Work alongside a client's engineering team(s) 
  • Document services worked on as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance
  • Work closely with cross-functional departments to communicate project status and proposals and execute project plans
  • Monitor system performance
  • Apply best practices and standard operating procedures
  • Contributes to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement

The target salary range is up to $85k based on skills and past experience.
